The Tree

That's right, my parents big tree fell into the water and slightly onto the boat. I'm sure many of you read this on christina's blog but I will give you my short version. Last weedend my parents were out of town so Mike and I decided to go to their house and burn some scrap wood. We called Christina and Nathan and invited them for pizza and campfire. It was going to be great fun. Then I walked in the front door. I could see out the big picture window in the back that the tree was down. It just didn't seem right. It was one of those moments that you think..."well the tree couldn't have fallen so what is going on here that it is in the river?" I covered my mouth and turned around to tell my sis, who had just walked in, "the tree fell in the water!" she said what and walked into the house further, I pointed and repeated, "THE TREE....FELL....IN THE WATER!" Then Nathan came in and we both repeated, "the tree fell in the water!" He then ran like a little girl to the back door and fiddled with the knob trying to get out, like if he went fast enough the tree would somehow not be fallen. It finally sunk in to all four of us that the tree was down. Mike and Nathan got out on the boat and carefully removed the branch that was across it.
