Drinks all around!

Ok, so I haven't put anything new up in forever. mostly because I have no internet at home and when I have a quick chance at someones house to be online I don't have all the pictures with me to post. I have no pictures today but I thought I would give the Sherf Version of Red Lobster.

Mike was going to take me out for dinner and because he works with Nathan they decided that we would all go out together. I was glad because we never do that. So off we went. 20 minute wait to the minute and we sat down. Ava and Connor split a kids meal and when one drink came Ava got it. She tipped it up and lemonade came out the straw hole all over her shirt. That was followed by, "my shirt, my shirt, my shirt" about 20 times. thankfully when I need something for ava I always have an extra in Christina's diaper bag. She brings everything. I feel like I'm really on top of things when I get out the door with a juice for her, especially lately.

Then came our refills. We were all eating our salads/coleslaw when Mike and I got drinks spilled all over us. I was up right away because it went on my chair and started to soak across my butt. Mike sat there like he hadn't been hit but if you look at the pictures on christina's blog you can see that he got it worse than me. I was much more wet than my jeans let on. anyway...they were apologizing and this manager comes over and asked what happened. there was ice all over the floor and we were covered. I was a little upset that he asked that because i thought it was pretty obvious. I said, "what happened? we got drinks spilled all over us" I was feeling bad about that later because I think he was in training and he was just trying to fill time by making conversation. Anyway, he asked if there was anything he could do while we waited for the general manager to come talk to us. Mike said that we needed the food to go. We sat there for probably 5 minutes before the same guy came back to tell us that they would give us a $30 gift card. (I was a little put off because I would think that as a general manager of a resaurant the #1 thing at that moment would be at least coming to the table where people just had pop spilled all over them and showing your face for a second.) So, not that Christina was wrong, but, the reason I spoke out, instead of Mike, against the $30 gift card was because I know my husband, and I knew that He thought that meant on top of our meals being taken care of. That's when I said, "you mean on top of our meals?" he said, "no a thirty dollar gift card, and any dry cleaning." I said that I thought it was reasonable for them to take care of our meals. not in addition to anything else just the fact that $30 would hardly cover our meal and nathan and Christina had to leave with us. We hadn't even gotten our food yet. We did take it to go, but still its not the same to take it home and change out of pop clothes. SO....he went back to the manager who wouldn't talk to us and came back and said OK.

Now, one other thing that Chris didn't say was that on our way out we were getting the managers card to have someone to bring our dry cleaning reciept to for our coats and stuff. The nice guy who had to be the sheepish managers face also gave us a $25 gift card. WOOHOO!

We did tell them several times that we were not mad, accidents happen, it was not a big deal. We just wanted the dinner that was cut short taken care of. OH, and when we were at the table the girl came by and was wondering if we needed anything while we waited for the manager. She asked if we were sticky. Ava was not hit in the pop fiasco she was sitting between me and connor, but she was crying a little after it happened and when the girl asked us that she started saying, "i sticky, I sticky, my shirt, my shirt" What a drama queen.

I also told that training manager that I was sorry his boss wouldn't come over.
Mike and I decided to call the Red Lobster people, you know the 1800#, and tell them how nice that one manager was even thought his boss kindof hung him out to dry.
