This weekend we went to the creation museum in Kentucky with the youth group. Katie and Jason Dobbertin came with us to help out. It was a really good time. We got there late Friday night, Saturday was the museum and downtown Cinci and then Sunday we went to church with joe and krissi. We got back at about 8 Sunday night.
The creation museum was really crowded. It was good but I think would've been better with less people. It was also hard b/c you are going from room to room and you can't get out to go to the bathroom or eat or anything. You either have to backtrack or rush through and start over. Don't get me wrong it was good...but it could've had a better layout.
Saturday night the girls really wanted to try and scare the boys at the house they were staying at. I told Mike b/c this is really our first big activity and I didn't want to do anything that he felt was out of line. I was really trying to be a good wife. He TOLD THE BOYS!!!!!!! They were ready for us. We got in the house and they were outside waiting to scare us and also tried to get into our van to do something...i don't know what. When we were inside and realized they had stuffed their sleeping bags with pillows we hurried and locked all the doors. We threw their sleeping bags into the dirty haunted looking basement and then got out of there. Mike cannot be trusted. I wisely locked the van so nothing happened there. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Ava did pretty well considering the lack of sleep.
She was definitely not loving the automatic flushers on the toilets or the huge dinosaur head next to one of the theatre's but other than that...pretty well behaved.
Not sure what time in history this was supposed to be but the people were oddly realistic looking.

It was so crowded we had to wait to get through almost every room.

Checking out some fossils.
Definitely goes in the funny people album.

Ava in the garden of eden.

More in the garden.
Noah's ark construction site...it was pretty cool.
Waiting for another video.
On our way out of the museum.
Out for pizza.
Joe and Krissi came with us downtown that night for pizza and shopping. The adults got ice cream too. I didn't...it was one of Liela's rough times. I had to take care of her pretty much the whole time we were in the ice cream place but I still had a good time. Joe and Krissi also let the girls stay at their house and helped get the boys a house on the church property to stay at. It was really nice to not have to pay for the housing.
