taking a picture break from our fun fun time running up and down the stairs and all around up top =)

Ava had a panic attack in the bathroom b/c of what she thought was an automatic flush toilet yet she stood here pleasantly enough about 6 inches from a good 30 foot drop.
My dad was the one who took her to the bathroom and he tried to show her that the toilets were flushed by hand...so he flushed it...not good. She held it from 7:00 when we left our house until 11:30 when we got home.
The next day we went to get sherf family pictures. During some down time I took Ava to the bathroom and she again thought auto flush. I told her to settle down and that the automotive department at the lincoln park sears would probably never get auto flushes. They were indeed regular but that didn't matter. She freaked. I made her go but she jumped off the toilet as quick as possible. When I finally opened the stall door she backed out and away like there was a barking dog or something. As I spoke the words, "relax, you are being ridiculous" she backed under an automatic dryer. I could barely stop laughing enough to pick up my sobbing child.

I was trying to catch liela attacking Connor but for the one second my camera was flashing she let go of him.

Yay for a new blog! Cute pics...Liela is definitely getting bigger by the day, isn't she?! Wish I could come see you guys in person sometime!
Also congrats to Christina...didn't know she was pregnant again :)
I'll be sure my sister gets the congrats. I can't believe it when I carry Lie around...she is just so stinkin' big. If you guys ever come into town let me know....maybe we can do dinner. Even more than just us...you knew the Harrisons pretty well right? it would be fun to meet your hubby and maybe by the time you are around your new baby!!!!
What is it about automatic flush toilets that terrify kids? My 13 year old is terrified of them. I as an adult love them because you don't have to touch the nasty flusher.

I know!!! I didn't really grow up remembering them...I always had to use my shoe and that wasn't easy when you are little. I think Ava is scared b/c the sensor sees her sit down but then she is so little if she moves just a little it thinks she got up so it flushes. Usually not just once either. At least that's how it was the first time and now she refuses to get on. I put my coat over the sensor but she still doesn't feel too confident. My cousin Hope was the same way...that's where I learned the coat trick.
Loved this post! I love looking at pictures of your family! I love how freaked out Ava is about the toilet thing - that is SO Gavin. He freaks out about stupid stuff like that but then he will do something like jump off of a chair without a care in the world. It's weird . . .
Anyway, thanks for sharing all the pics.
kids are just weird! Ava is a big baby about the vacuum. I left her upstairs with lunch the other day watching Mr. Rogers of all things and she came to the stairs hysterical. I ran up thinking she had some major problem....Mr. Rogers was VACUUMING!!! Such a big baby.
