Ava talk

Nicole: ready for lunch?
Ava: Yeah, I am.
N: what would you like?
A: Blueberry muffins
(haven't had them in the house for weeks....random)

(while Ava is in the tub a few days ago)
A: This is my tub right?
N: well, yeah, its all of our families...but you take a bath in it.
A: Yeah, I take a bath in it. When you were little like me, like Ava, you took a bath too. But now you are bigger so you stand up in the tub to take a shower. And daddy takes a shower but Lie is little so she takes a bath like me.

Disgusting but hilarious to me for some reason, whenever Ava gets a booger on her finger she brings it to us and says, "here I got this out of my nose."

(playing with liela last night on our bed)
A: Hey you cute baby, where are your toes...where are they? yeah! Yeah! Look at you cute toes...look at those toes.

(patting Liela on the head this morning)
A:oh, you are a cute baby. Yeah! Yeah! you are so cute...yes you are...yes you are so cute. awwww....look momma, Lie is so cute.

(last night getting ready for bed)
A: can I have my pony book in my bed?
Mike: uh, sure honey...do you have a pony book?
A: yeah, can I have my pony book in my bed?
M: just a second. (comes to ask me what's up)
N: Ava, what do you want?
A: my pony book.
(I look at mike and we are both confused)
A: did you guys forget it at the store?

(whenever I walk away)
Liela: Momma!!!
can you believe she does that? I love it. I wondered if it counted but my mom says it does. She does seem to respond to me when I say it to her and she often says it when I walk away from her and she doesn't like it. I don't know....we counted it when Ava said Dadda at this age so I guess we count Liela's on the same standard.

Mike leaned over and gave Ava a sniff...She always smells so good. She turned to him with a sweet voice and said, "daddy, don't smell me. I'm not a flower!"

(While outside today playing in the snow)
N: Ava, get little balls of snow and pack it on here.
A: Ok, momma...and DON'T eat yellow snow, right?!

She loves anything that makes her face like this

Ava put this headband on by herself....good job

She stood here and told me she was 'teaching' Liela
This is what she was saying,
"Ok, Lie. You play with your toys and be happy and I will not take them. And I am just teachin you ok? Ok...you make sure you are not cryin b/c we need to be happy girls. And I love you and you need to be good, OK!? So...that is what you are doin and I am just teachin you....." it continued for about 10 minutes until mike came home and Liela was forgotten.

waiting to go outside

proud of her work

She took a purple marker and colored him

This started out as a big snow hill...I dug out the side and made it a little fort. Then I dug out the other side to make a tunnel. Ava loved it for a while and then she wanted the open side closed so...as she put it..."make it so I can't get out." Ok...so I started...and decided to try and make it big. This is how far I got before it was just getting too late....so if the snow remains we will work on it tomorrow but until then she at least has some walls.

We didn't have anything cheap to make into a pipe so our snowman is smoking a stogie.

oh so funny! I think the pony book was my favorite! did you forget it at the store?? It's so great that you write so many of their things down, b/c too many people say "oh my kids say such funny stuff" but then they never remember it. So, kudos for remembering to write it down! :)

I love thier little conversations. I loved the booger thing! One day Gavin was walking toward me with a booger on his finger and he said, "Here's a booger mommy, sweetheart!" I said, Don't call me sweetheart while you are handing me a booger!
